OBJECTIVE: Nukkad Nataks are the easiest ways to educate people. Our children volunteers have performed several plays at various locations to raise awareness on any social topics . Street Theatre is a method of theatrical performance and presentation that takes place in open public spaces without a paid audience. It is used as a means of communication to disseminate social and political messages, as well as to raise awareness among the general public about pressing social concerns.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
It gives everyone lesson and belief to fight against evils in society. Also both the actors and audiences in stretplay are at same level, which is not seen in theater and other act forms. So it connects you better with the society
Hindi Week at our school this year was a delightful blend of learning, fun, and creativity. One of the most exciting activities during this celebration was the Nukkad Natak (street play) performance by students, which left everyone mesmerized.
The students took to the stage, or rather the school courtyard, with enthusiasm and energy. Dressed in colorful costumes, they brought to life thought-provoking and entertaining stories through short plays.
The themes of these plays ranged from social issues to historical events, and each performance carried a powerful message. From advocating for cleanliness to showcasing India’s freedom struggle, the Nukkad Natak covered a diverse array of topics.
What made this activity even more special was the involvement of students in scriptwriting, directing, and acting. It was a true collaborative effort, with each participant contributing their unique talents.
The courtyard transformed into a vibrant stage where students acted their hearts out, drawing cheers and applause from their fellow classmates and teachers. The captivating performances held everyone spellbound.
Nukkad Natak not only promoted our national language, Hindi, but also instilled a sense of pride in our cultural heritage. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their acting skills and creativity.
